When making decisions regarding your oral and dental health, it is important to be as informed as possible, whether you are interested in a cosmetic dental makeover and full mouth restoration or simply selecting a dental practice in the Atlanta, Marietta, and Alpharetta area to perform your general dentistry exams and cleanings. On this page we feature short answers to a number of the most frequently asked questions at Towne Lake Family Dentistry & The Art of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Selecting a dentist is an important decision, and one that you should be comfortable making. From your very first phone call to Towne Lake Family Dentistry & The Art of Cosmetic Dentistry, you will notice a difference between our dental office and others. While many dental offices operate much like mills and aim to get patients in and out as quickly as possible, at Towne Lake Family Dentistry & The Art of Cosmetic Dentistry your comfort and safety is our primary goal. Our doctors give each patient their undivided attention and it shows in the beautiful smiles that they create every day. Drs. Morgan and Radcliffe have been crafting natural-looking, beautiful smiles for over 20 years and are committed to exceeding the number of continuing education hours required each year by the ADA in order to continually expand their dental knowledge.
We offer a wide variety of dental procedures at our Atlanta and Marietta-area practice, ranging from general dentistry treatments such as cleanings and exams to restorative dental bridges and cosmetic smile makeovers utilizing the latest advances in dental technology. Below are some of the specific procedures and treatments available at Towne Lake Family Dentistry & The Art of Cosmetic Dentistry:
We offer several different methods for obtaining a whiter, brighter smile, of which the most conservative choices are our Zoom!2® in-office whitening and take-home tooth whitening treatments. However, if tooth whitening is not an option in your particular case, you may be a better candidate for obtaining a whiter smile via cosmetic dental bonding, porcelain veneers, or porcelain crowns.
The biggest difference between the two methods is simply the time required to achieve satisfactory results. Zoom!2® in-office whitening is completed in one short visit to our office that typically takes about an hour. Conversely, take-home tooth whitening is accomplished by taking molds of your teeth and crafting custom-designed trays for you to wear at home during whitening, either overnight or twice a day. Most patients achieve optimal results in around 10 to 14 days with our take-home tooth whitening treatments.
A porcelain veneer is a thin shell of porcelain ceramic that is bonded over a tooth. Veneers can be used to mask stained teeth, correct misshapen or misaligned teeth, close spaces between teeth, and repair worn down or broken teeth. In many cases, porcelain veneers can be used to provide the appearance of straighter teeth without the use of orthodontics.
The cost of cosmetic dental treatment varies from procedure to procedure. While many cosmetic treatments, such as tooth whitening, are relatively inexpensive, more involved procedures, such as porcelain restorations and porcelain veneers, incur higher costs but tend to produce longer-lasting, highly attractive results. Because we understand that these expenses can be difficult to fit into some patients' budgets, we offer affordable payment plans through Capital One® Healthcare FinanceSM so that each of our patients is able to achieve the smile that he or she deserves.

Your insurance will be accepted at Towne Lake Family Dentistry & The Art of Cosmetic Dentistry, provided that your carrier does not require that you choose your dentist based on a list of contracted offices. We will make every effort to estimate what your insurance will pay prior to each visit; however, because we are not contracted with any insurance carriers, these estimates may not always be exact. Because dental insurance is generally not structured to pay 100% of all dental service costs, patients will be responsible for payment of any portion not covered by insurance on the date of service. We will ensure that you are fully aware of what your cost for each procedure will be before beginning treatment.
Typically, dental insurance does not cover any treatment that is performed purely for cosmetic reasons at our Atlanta and Marietta-area practice. In general, if a cosmetic dentistry procedure is necessary for your oral health, we can assist you in submitting your insurance claim and provide any documentation necessary to aid you in maximizing your benefits.
Not only are old-fashioned metal amalgam fillings unnatural in appearance, they can also leak, lead to cracks, and allow new decay to enter the tooth beneath the filling. Because metallic fillings appear as bright white spots on dental X-rays, we cannot see this new decay underneath the filling. Fortunately, patients now have the option to replace their old fillings with bonded tooth-colored restorations that provide a more natural appearance and help strengthen the tooth structure.
