MARY: We are very concerned about our patients and we want to make sure that they come in on a regular basis and see us every six months. We like to see them just to talk and visit with them, but they also are coming in to get their teeth cleaned.
KRISTI: And it's essential that you maintain a healthy periodontal condition, because it is actually something that affects your total body health. It actually has ramifications on your circulatory system, your heart. Every aspect of your body. So if your mouth is not healthy, then your whole body is not in good health.
DR. RAY MORGAN: I think one of the most important things that a patient could do is being very regular about their checkups and I know that there are those out there that don't believe they need to come to the dentist every six months, but they're mistaken, because if we are examining your teeth, you know, twice a year, we can catch things when they're really small before they get to be a big deal.
